In The Studio-Maverick

I love doing custom work, especially pet portraiture. This is Maverick. A beautiful dog who belonged to a wonderful friend of mine I met through social media many years ago. I have spent years reading her lovely posts referring to Maverick, knowing how lucky they were to have each other. So naturally it saddened me to hear of her lovely companion's passing. So it came to be through our talking that I would do a portrait for her to treasure his memory.

He is still very much a work in progress (WIP) but is coming along nicely. I update her often with photos of my progress for her approval. After all, the likeness must be there and the painting needs to have life of a sorts breathed into it for it to be real for the owner. I have posted photos with her permission so that you may see how I'm progressing. If you are thinking of having a portrait of your special pet recreated in wool, please contact me.
