I'm happy to be working on several commissioned pet portraits at the moment. I love doing portraits for my customers, it's really satisfying. It especially makes me emotional when I can give some peace to someone who has lost their beloved companion.

I just completed one recently of a lovely sanctuary pig named Darla, who passed away suddenly from an undiagnosed heart issue. Darla was the first pig in their family, and the one who started the sanctuary rolling. Upon hearing of her passing, I approached the owners of Hippie Pigs Sanctuary and offered my services. I wanted to memorialize sweet Darla, and with their blessings, created a portrait as a gift to them to keep Darla's spirit alive.

I also love to dab in the style of painting I do when I paint with oils and acrylics, Expressionism. I love the bold colors that really pop off the canvas, and wanted to see if it would translate well while using wool. I did an experiment by painting a portrait of my best friend, and black lab Tammy. I really loved how it turned out. It's bold, bright, and fun. So now when a client asks about my doing a wool painting for them, I give them the option of the usual realistic colors, or a more expressionistic approach.

If you're interested in a custom portrait, contact me and I'll happily discuss options and pricing with you.
